  • The National Weather Service in Binghamton has issued a
    * Flood Advisory for...
    Rain and Snowmelt in...
    Cayuga County in central New York...
    * Until Midnight EST.
    * At 758 PM EST, emergency management advised that lingering flood
    problems associated with small ice jams, and ponding of water
    continued in several locations around the county, especially near
    the Owasco Outlet and the Seneca River. Additional rainfall was
    moving into the area, but will be mixing with sleet, freezing rain
    and changing over to snow during the next few hours. The colder
    air will help to decrease any flooding through the night. Rivers
    and creeks are likely to begin freezing again.

    * Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...

    Madison County in central New York...
    Onondaga County in central New York...
    * Until 500 PM EST.
    * At 1101 AM EST, numerous reports of minor flooding of roadways
    have been received in Onondaga and Madison Counties. Runoff from
    heavy rain and snowmelt will continue to cause urban and small
    stream flooding. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen and
    additional rainfall of up to 1/2 inch is expected. If conditions
    worsen, additional flood warnings will be issued.

    Onondaga, Syracuse, Clay, Cicero, De Witt, Lysander, Sullivan, Van
    Buren, Oneida and Lenox.
